What Products Does a Blow Molding Machine Make?

A blow molding machine is a plastic processing machine. After the liquid plastic is sprayed out, the wind blown out by the machine is used to blow the plastic body to a certain shape of the mold cavity to make a product. Specifically, the blow molding machine can process a variety of containers such as plastic barrels, plastic bottles, plastic toys, plastic cans, and plastic beverage straws. At present, blow molding machines have been widely used to produce various thin-shell hollow products, chemical and daily packaging containers, and children's toys.

1. Classification of blow molding machines

Blow molding can basically be divided into two categories: extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding.

The main difference between the two is the preparation of the parison, while the blow molding process is basically the same. Based on these two molding methods, there are: extrusion-stretch-blow molding (abbreviated as extrusion-stretch-blow), injection-stretch-blow molding (abbreviated as injection-stretch-blow) and multi-layer molding.

2. Uses of blow molding machines

The types of plastics used for blow molding include polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polystyrene, linear polyester, polycarbonate, polyamide, cellulose acetate and polyacetal resin.

1. High-density polyethylene is the most consumed material, and it is widely used in food, chemical and liquid packaging. High molecular weight polyethylene is suitable for manufacturing large fuel tanks and barrels.

2. Polyvinyl chloride is widely used in the packaging of cosmetics and detergents because of its good transparency and airtightness. With the development of non-toxic polyvinyl chloride resins and additives, as well as the development of stretch blow molding technology, the use of polyvinyl chloride containers in food packaging has increased rapidly, and has begun to be used in the packaging of beer and other beverages containing carbon dioxide gas.

3. Linear polyester material is a new material that has entered the field of hollow blow molding in recent years. Because its products have a glossy appearance, excellent transparency, high mechanical strength, good preservation of items in the container, and no pollution to the environment during waste incineration, it has developed rapidly in the packaging bottle, especially in the pressure-resistant plastic food container.

4. Polypropylene is also used more and more year by year due to the modification of its resin and the advancement of processing technology.

3. Advantages of blow molding machine:

1. Plastic containers processed by blow molding machine have the advantages of high thickness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and can replace some wood and ceramic containers.

2. Plastic containers made by blow molding machine are relatively cheap, which can reduce daily living costs.

3. Fast processing speed and high efficiency. Traditional ceramic and wooden products are time-consuming and labor-intensive, and secondly, the accuracy is not enough.
